Brandeis-Israel Public Affairs Committee (BIPAC) is the Brandeis affiliate of the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Brandeis Orthodox Organization (BOO) serves the needs of observant students on campus, and welcomes any students wishing to learn more about Orthodox Judaism.

Brandeis Reform Chavurah (BaRuCH) serves the Reform Jewish community on campus, holding weekly Shabbat services and educational events, and cultural and social programs.

Brandeis University Conservative Organization (BUCO) serves the Conservative Jewish community, providing religious, educational, and social events on a regular basis.

Brandeis Zionist Alliance (BZA) is a broad coalition of students committed to fostering knowledge and awareness of Zionism and Israel, and provides freedom of expression for the full range of political views on Israel.

Brit Tzedek v’Shalom, the Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace, is committed to Israel’s well-being through the achievement of a negotiated settlement to the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

B’yachad, Brandeis’ Israeli dance troupe, holds open dancing sessions each semester and performs regularly both on- and off-campus at cultural events, parties, and Israeli Folk Dancing Festivals.

First-Year Council (FYC) is for first-year students who are interested in planning events just for first years and taking on leadership roles within the Jewish community.

Generations works toward bridging the gap between senior citizens and college students. The two groups get together monthly for social events, both at Brandeis and the seniors’ home in Newton.

Hillel Theatre Group (HTG), one of the largest and most active theatre groups on campus, is the only theatre group that does not rehearse or perform on Shabbat or Jewish holidays. HTG produces a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. All who audition for the spring musical are guaranteed a role.

Holocaust Remembrance Committee (HRC) schedules programs throughout the year to heighten awareness of the Holocaust and its lessons.

Jewish Fella A Cappella (JFA) is our all-male Jewish a cappella group that performs on- and off-campus.

Jewish Pluralism Action Committee (JPAC) plans events to promote pluralism among Jews and Jewish groups at Brandeis.

Klal Hillel Pluralism Initiative is a leadership dialogue that brings together and strengthens ties between Jewish students from all backgrounds, observances, and denominations.

Manginah is Hillel’s co-ed a cappella group. Performing original, contemporary, and traditional songs in Hebrew, English, and Yiddish, Manginah regularly performs on campus to enthusiastic audiences on- and off-campus.

Mitzvah Clowning is a fun group of students who learn clowning techniques and dress up as clowns to visit hospitals, nursing homes, homeless shelters, and cancer patients.

Nashim is the Jewish Women’s group on campus, and invites both traditionalists and feminists to join and to attend programs including a Women’s prayer group and new month (Rosh Chodesh) celebrations.

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) is an innovative non-denominational learning community that networks students to partners from different backgrounds to engage in learning Jewish texts in pairs.

Sunday’s Bread provides opportunities for students to work in a soup kitchen one Sunday each month. Volunteers assist in all aspects of preparing and serving meals to the homeless, and participate in a truly rewarding and purposeful way with members of the Boston community.

Yiddish Club helps students access and revel in the riches of our ancestral tongue, through Yiddish film screenings, culture and music events, field trips, language enrichment, and of course, food.
