It would be hard to find a place where such a diverse community is transformed each week as Brandeis is on Shabbat. Each week traditional and alternative services create a unique atmosphere that is only enhanced by the weekly community Hillel Shabbat dinner. Each week as many as 300 students come together for a truly unique occasion on our campus concluding in an Oneg Shabbat hosted by Hillel.

Shabbos Aint Shabbos Without Some Good Food

Students must sign up for Hillel Shabbat dinner in advance at the Sherman Dining Hall during the week. Guests can also be signed up.

Aramark has developed a new package option for students who are not on meal plans but who would like to regularly attend Hillel’s weekly Shabbat Dinners (every Friday during the academic year in the Sherman Function Hall, check out the myBrandeis calendar for updated times each week), yet find the at-the-door cost a bit prohibitive (not to mention having to trek to Sherman each week to sign up)

Here’s the deal:

Shabbat Savings Package
10 Friday Night Shabbat Dinners
$82.90

(that’s a 30% savings compared to purchasing each week “at-the-door”!)

The plan can be purchased from Aramark. See the Cashier in Sherman (just once to make the purchase, then you will be added to the list for each week)
