Welcome to Hillel!
At Hillel students forge new friendships, meet dedicated mentors, celebrate the Jewish calendar, engage in service to others, and are inspired by Jewish texts and traditions. Hillel is for every Jew, of every color, from every country, studying every subject, and welcomes students of any sexual orientation, gender identity and physical ability, as well as those affected by mental illness, trauma, and abuse.
We offer diverse events and opportunities that take place in various locations across the Brandeis campus. In addition to hosting the Jewish Learning Fellowship or taking you on your first trip to Israel, Hillel is the umbrella organization to many other Jewish groups on campus. This means you can find your niche -- whether you want to find a spiritual home, volunteer and serve others, grapple with Israel and Jewish values, celebrate Shabbat, or explore Jewish art and culture -- we are here to help you and support you.
Slow down, unplug and Friday your way. Hillel hosts Shabbat dinner and lunch every week during the academic year at no charge to students. And there are at least three, sometimes four, sometimes more, Friday night services to welcome Shabbat. Shabbat Together →
