In 2008 Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Monday September 29 and ends at nightfall on Wednesday October 1. Yom Kippur begins at sundown on Wednesday October 8th and ends at nightfall on Thursday October 9th.
Hillel at Brandeis University welcomes all students, members of the Brandeis faculty and staff, Brandeis alums, and local community members and their families to our High Holyday services on the Brandeis Campus.

Rabbi Albert S. Axelrad, Director Emeritus of Hillel at Brandeis, will lead Reform services
in Brandeis’ Levin Ballroom in the Usdan Student Center. The cantorial soloist for this service is Lee Moore, summer program director at Elat Chayyim Center for Jewish Spirituality.
Rabbi Bradley Solmsen, Director of Genesis at Brandeis, together with students in the Brandeis Conservative Organization, will lead Conservative services in Brandeis’ Spingold Theatre.
Student-led Orthodox services, will be facilitated by the Brandeis Orthodox Organization and Rabbi Elliot Kaplowitz, Co-Director of the Jewish Learning Initiative at Brandeis, in Brandeis’ Berlin Chapel for Rosh Hashanah and in Sherman Function Hall in the Hassenfeld Building for Yom Kippur.
Student-led Reform services, will be facilitated by the Brandeis Reform Chavurah and Rabbi Sara Zachariah, in the International Lounge in Usdan Student Center.
For security reasons, all adult congregants must have tickets and all university students must have IDs
Our suggested donation for tickets is $500 per adult. The requested minimum donation is $250 per adult. Children under 18 and university students are free.
