Did you know that when you make your gift to Hillel at Brandeis, your donation counts towards both Hillel AND Brandeis?
How will you change these students’ lives this summer?
Brandeis Hillel relies on the support of friends, parents and alumni in order to create life-changing experiences for Brandeis students. Every school year and every week Hillel makes an incredible impact on the campus community and beyond.
This spring semester Hillel sponsored more than 150 programs, not including daily religious services and more than 120 Shabbat and other holiday observances. Our semester programming began with Israeli hip hop artists, Hadag Nachash, in a sold out concert attended by 700 students. Our Purim celebrations included multiple shpiels (Purim plays) and readings from the Megillah and a Purim party attended by more than 400 students. Our Shabbat meals and services are the largest weekly events on campus, attracting more than 400 students – approximately one in ten Brandeis students.
From trips to Israel, Honduras and New Orleans to warm Shabbat dinners, passionate Jewish learning and “Mitzvah clowning” for sick children, Brandeis students take an active role in impacting the campus community and the world around them.
These wonderful opportunities would not be possible without your support!
A single program may cost as little as $180 or as much as $18,000
Support for our programs is needed in all the following areas:
• $180 helps support an ice cream social or pizza party
• $250 supports a student’s volunteer work during winter break in Mississippi or Louisiana
• $360 provides bus transportation to programs in the Boston area
• $1000 covers honoraria and travel costs for a speaker
• $2500-$5000 covers costs for a scholar or artist-in-residence for a weekend
